Breakfast Ideas to start your day healthy


Start your day in the best way possible with this delicious and easy to prepare breakfast recipes. 


Breakfast is often referred to as "the most important meal of the day," and for good reason. As the name suggests, breakfast breaks the overnight fast. Replenish glucose stores to increase energy levels and alertness, while providing other essential nutrients needed for good health.


Get inspired by some of my favorite recipes that I make for my daily breakfast. 



Overnight Oats 

  • 50g Oatmeal 
  • 150ml Cow milk or almond milk


You soak the oats with milk in a jaw and let them rest in the fridge over night. 

If you want to make it a little bit more fancy, you can ad chia seeds, greek yogurt, a sweetener of choice (I personally like agave syrup) and/or a tsp of cinnamon that makes it even more delicious. 


The next morning you can add your favorite toppings and start eating. I switch between different fruits like, apples, strawberries and bananas and sometimes I like to ad nuts into it. You can just do whatever you want. 





Scrambled Eggs with Spinach 

  • 2 eggs 
  • 50g baby spinach leaves 
  • Salt and pepper 


In the first step, you whisk the eggs with salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese.

Add fresh spinach leaves and cook it lightly until it’s slightly wilted. Don't overcook the spinach at this stage.

Add eggs and scramble until cooked to your liking. Make sure to cook the eggs over medium heat. This will help stop their digestion. Honestly you can just ad whatever you like, if it is tomatoes, broccoli or maize. as long as you feel good and nourished. 





Blueberry Smoothie 

  • 170g blueberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 150ml milk 
  • 1 container plain yogurt 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 


It is really simple. You just blend the blueberries, yogurt, milk and vanilla in a blender until frothy and scrape down the sides of the blender if needed. Now you can eat it immediately with some optional topics.

Avocado Toast 

  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice 
  • Pepper and salt 
  • 1 slice bread, toasted 


In a mall bowl, combine the avocado, lemon juice, salt and pepper. 

Mash lightly with the back of a fork. Ad the mashed avocado to your toasted bread and drizzle with a little bit of olive oil. Really simple and really delicious. 





Green Juice 

  • Handful of spinach 
  • 1 cucumber 
  • 1 peeled lemon 
  • 1 peeled orange 
  • 1 green apple 
  • Some Ginger 


Blend everything together and ad water to it. Slowly strain it with a strainer (or a cheese clothe) and give the juice into a bottle. To get the most out of it, ad the left over mush to your blender again, together with some water and repeat the process up to three time. 

I make this juice every Sunday so I have a healthy and delicious breakfast juice for the next week.
